Avenger exceeds all testing requirements for protective footwear impact and compression resistance. Protective footwear must pass two tests for impact and compression established by American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). Under the Class 75 test for impact, a shoe must withstand a 75 lb. impact with 12.7 mm (0.50 in.) clearance for men's and 11.9 mm (0.468 in.) for women's. Under the Class 75 test for compression, a shoe must withstand 2500 lbs. of compression while maintaining at least 12.7 mm (0.50 in.) for men's and 11.9 mm (0.468 in.) for women's.

Electric shock resistant or electrical hazard shoes are designed to protect the wearer from open electrical circuits of 14,000 volts at 60 Hz for 1 minute with no current flow or leakage current in excess of 3.0 milliamperes under dry conditions. These shoes are secondary protection on surfaces that are substantially insulated. These shoes meet ASTM F2413-05 Section 5.5 requirements.
Caution: These shoes should not be worn in explosive or hazardous areas where conductive footwear is required.

Puncture resistant footwear contains a midsole which is designed to reduce the hazards of puncture wounds caused by sharp objects penetrating the sole. All of our puncture resistant footwear meets or exceeds the ASTM F2413-05 Section 5.7 standards for puncture resistance.

CSA Electrical Shock Resistant footwear meets all Canadian Standards and is designed to provide additional isolation or insulation to the worker if accidental contact is made with energized electrical conductors, apparatus, or circuits. This footwear has a sole and heel with an outer surface that is not penetrated by conductive of potentially conductive materials (e.g. screws, nails, staples, sewing threads, and fibers). Under dry conditions, this footwear shall withstand a test potential of 18 kV 60 Hz for a period of 1 minute without disruptive discharge to the ground. The leakage current shall not exceed 1 mA when tested.
CAUTION: These shoes should not be worn in explosive or hazardous areas where conductive footwear is required.
CAUTION: These should should be worn in dry environments only. Exposure to a wet or humid environment will adversely affect or invalidate the protective properties of this footwear.
